Job Title: Travel Nurse - PCU Observation

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel RN to join our team in the Observation Unit at a Level I trauma center and the largest acute care hospital in the Toledo metropolitan area.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Travel RN to provide high-quality patient care in the Observation Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCU and Observation Medicine, with experience in managing patients with complex conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the Observation Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Manage patients with a range of conditions, including chest pain, abdominal pain, atrial fibrillation, TIA, anemia/GI bleed, dehydration/AKI, syncope, vertigo, COPD, asthma, UTI/pyelonephritis, headache/migraine, CHF, seizure, and carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a length of stay goal of 18-24 hours.
  • Participate in electronic documentation using EPIC.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in PCU and Observation Medicine.
  • Current OH license.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
