The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the local IT service delivery in the SEMEA region, partnering with Sulzer entities in countries Spain, Italy, South Africa, and further towards the Middle East. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of L2 IT technicians based at Sulzer entities in the SEMEA region
  • Managing support of local infrastructure: PCs, Network, Servers, and Telephony
  • Managing changes and projects effectively, ensuring project delivery with key milestones and costs managed in accordance with project budgets
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure we can "shift left" our IT support model
  • Working with local and global teams to ensure delivery with defined and agreed Operational KPIs for IT Service Management
  • Managing the IT spend, ensuring we maximise the effectiveness of the IT services delivered and working with the business to build/track the IT budgets V spend for the respective legal entities
  • Overseeing the reliability and functionality of information systems and providing technical leadership and assistance
  • Ensuring Business Continuity for IT is in line with local and corporate IT requirements
  • Escalation point for the business and acting in the role of Business Partners in the relevant countries

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, IT Management, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience of working in a multi-cultural environment advantageous
  • Experience in a multinational organization where IT is a global function supporting multiple divisions and global functions would be a distinct advantage
  • Skilled in developing and managing the budgets and IT spend within the business essential
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written is essential – other languages also advantageous
  • Experience in ITSM principles on a practical level very important with ITIL knowledge/skills desirable
