About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Communications Strategist to join our team at Educations Media Group. As a key member of our Corporate Marketing team, you will play a critical role in elevating our corporate brand to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic communications plan that incorporates a range of activities across international markets.
  • Organize and implement a unique range of media activities, including interviews, press releases, audio/visual content, live/online events, and written content.
  • Promote and raise the Educations Media Group brand, ensuring the communication of key values and messaging is in alignment with our strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities to boost our reputation within local, international, and education media.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, including coordination of multilingual releases and media monitoring.
  • Manage media requests and oversee media relations with key contacts within the global education community.
  • Research and develop engaging proposals for industry trade shows, awards, and competitions.
  • Create thought leadership articles, whitepapers, and reports for industry trade shows and other engagements, focusing on data and insights.
  • Organize and plan B2B events and trade show exhibitions for the Educations Media Group brand, from concept to delivery.
  • Build global awareness of the Educations Media Group corporate brand across media channels.
  • Advise and support employees on digital communications and media.
  • Nurture and support the development of an internal network of subject matter experts and keynote speakers.
  • Liaise with third-party providers and media agencies.
  • Work closely with the wider Corporate Marketing team to ensure all communications meet our strategic objectives and align with the overall marketing plan.

Requirements

  • PR experience is essential, preferably with media pitching experience.
  • Experience working in education marketing or as a past international student/study abroad student combined with PR/communications background.
  • Commercially driven and business-minded, comfortable with using data and insights.
  • Flexible working hours, with quick turnarounds on tight deadlines required during some periods.
  • An education enthusiast who will stay on top of the latest insights and trends across the global education industry.
  • Native English proficiency, both written and verbal.
