We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Engineer to join our team at Volotea Alaeo SL. As a Duty Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Airbus A32X series aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage the technical status of our aircraft fleet 24/7.
- Provide technical support to our crews, offering expert advice and guidance on maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Manage maintenance assistance in remote stations and coordinate with our maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Monitor and recover aircraft on ground (AOG) and identify and rectify deferred defects to minimize operational disruptions.
- Update and communicate fleet technical status and operational limitations to our teams.
- Monitor and analyze aircraft condition using AIRMAN (Aircraft Maintenance Analysis) to identify areas for improvement and propose necessary actions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot intermittent faults across the fleet.
- Monitor and report technical delays during daily operations.
- Supervise scheduled maintenance to ensure compliance with Volotea standards.
- Act as the primary interface between maintenance, operations control, and flight crews, minimizing schedule disruptions.
- Provide on-site support at line stations and assist with non-routine maintenance tasks.
- EASA Part 66 Licensed Aircraft Engineer certification on Airbus A32X series (CFM56 engine type).
- At least five years of relevant work experience, with troubleshooting experience a plus.
- Previous experience in Maintenance Control, Technical Representative, Airline Engineering, or Line Maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Fluent English and Spanish are compulsory, with Italian and French considered a plus.
- Self-disciplined and highly organized, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and cooperative attitude.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and programs, particularly the MS Office package.
- Willingness to work on 24/7 rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Experience with AMOS and AIMS is a plus.
- EASA Regulation (Part M, Part 145), EWIS, and Fuel Tank Safety certificates are a plus.
- Driver's License.
