Lead Development Representative Role


Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks an experienced Lead Development Representative to join its thriving community and growing business within the EMEA Public Sector team.


This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team, contributing to bringing the latest disruptive cloud computing technologies to organizations serving our Public Sector customers, including government agencies, state-owned companies, educational institutions, healthcare, and non-profit organizations.


Our Public Sector teams provide consultative and leadership expertise to drive successful outcomes.


The Public Sector Global Lead Development Team is based in Madrid, Spain.


As a Lead Development Representative covering the Italian market, you will be an integral member of the account management organization, playing a critical role in qualifying leads, profiling customers, and providing input on which lead development campaigns generate the best leads.


You will collaborate closely with your global peers, marketing, account managers, and the partner channel to identify and create qualified opportunities for the team you support.


Often, you will be the first point of contact for customers experiencing AWS, making this role crucial in shaping their initial impression of the service.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage incoming leads in a timely manner for a wider geographical region.
  • Conduct discussions with prospects and existing customers over the phone to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Understand customer pain points, gather technical requirements, and correlate business value to customer needs.
  • Generate interest and provide vision of the portfolio of AWS solutions to potential customers.
  • Stay up-to-date on existing and developing technologies related to cloud computing.
  • Achieve quarterly qualification goals.
  • Update and maintain customer information within Salesforce.com.
  • Provide detailed call notes to ensure the account management team understands the opportunity and next steps are clearly defined.
  • Present high-level technical solutions to diverse audiences, including AWS colleagues, prospects, and customers relevant to the target industry or market.

Requirements and Qualifications:


To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to various audiences.


Your experience working in sales, particularly in the technology industry, will be beneficial in navigating the fast-paced environment of cloud computing.


Familiarity with Salesforce.com is also desirable, although training will be provided for the right candidate.


Benefits:


A competitive salary range of €80,000 - €110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, reflects the company's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the field.
