About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Data Solutions team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the modernization of our data ecosystem, deliver data-driven insights to our business teams, and drive innovation in data analytics and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy data solutions that meet the needs of our business teams, including technology adoption, security and compliance, and business process change.
- Incubate Emerging Technologies: Identify and adopt emerging data technologies, launching and delivering data solutions faster with rapid prototyping and iterative methods to prove and establish value.
- Drive Enterprise-Wide Scalability: Demonstrate abstraction of data patterns and drive enterprise-wide scalability, reusability, and sustainability of data platforms and services.
- Align Data Innovation with Business Strategy: Align data innovation efforts with the business strategy, IT strategy, and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Establish Data Capabilities and Ecosystem Partnerships: Establish and update strategies, implementation plans, and value cases to implement emerging technologies, and drive data innovation using appropriate people, processes, partners, and tools.
Requirements
- Strong Analytical and Technical Skills: Solid understanding of analytical and technical frameworks for descriptive and prescriptive analytics, and strong familiarity with AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake service offerings.
- Production Experience: Production experience delivering data lake projects, including data acquisition, quality, transformation, and publishing.
- Data Product Change Management: Awareness of data product change management and risk mitigation, and monitoring and improving data product service delivery offerings.
- Strong Collaborative Interactions: Strong collaborative interactions with customer-facing business teams, and a data product-centric approach to defining solutions.
