About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team at MAHLE Electronics. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex electronic hardware systems for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze hardware requirements and system functional architecture to allocate HW blocks to multiple PCBAs
  • Ensure functionality split between PCBAs is consistent with architecture and technically correct
  • Perform trade-offs and ensure interface definition between PCBAs is correct
  • Lead and coordinate work of Electronic Engineers on different PCBA designs
  • Manage electronic product tree, tracking compatibility between versions
  • Prepare connectors summary and board-to-board interface specification
  • Participate in design reviews, ensuring consistency between boards
  • Coordinate design justification, allocating verification steps to boards
  • Ensure design and component reuse across boards on same equipment
  • Plan, review, and complete electronic design and validation tasks
Requirements
  • Degree in Physics, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or similar
  • English (B2), Spanish (C1) desirable, German a plus
  • Technical background in electronic design (automotive preferred)
  • Knowledge of electronic analysis and simulation tools (SPICE, PSIM, Mathcad, MATLAB)
  • Proficiency in electronic design tools (Schematic and PCB suites): Altium, OrCAD, Expedition
  • Experience with Altium Designer a plus
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes, functional safety (ISO26262)
  • Experience in V model development process (ASPICE)
  • Several years' experience in complex product electronic design for automotive applications
