About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team at MAHLE Electronics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex electronic hardware systems for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electronic hardware systems, including hardware requirements analysis, system functional architecture, and PCB design.
  • Coordinate the work of multiple electronic engineers to ensure consistency and quality of the electronic design.
  • Manage the electronic product tree, ensuring compatibility and tracking of design releases.
  • Prepare connectors summaries and board-to-board interface specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure consistency and quality of the electronic design.
  • Coordinate the overall design justification and allocate design verification steps to the different boards.
  • Ensure design and component reuse across boards on the same equipment when possible.
  • Ensure that the electronic design and validation tasks are planned, reviewed, and completed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physics, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical background in electronic design and validation, with experience in automotive applications.
  • Proficiency in electronic design tools, such as Altium, OrCAD, and Expedition.
  • Knowledge of automotive SPICE processes and functional safety (ISO26262).
  • Experience in working in a V model development process (ASPICE).
  • Several years of experience in complex product electronic design for automotive applications.
  • Experience in power electronics equipment designs and writing/deriving HW requirements from customer/system requirements.
  • Experience with system/block diagrams, electronics schematics, e-Layout, mechanical design, 3D models, 2D drawings, Bill Of Materials, automotive validations procedures and normative, validation plans, and automotive quality deliverables.
  • Experience in RFI/RFQ offer preparation, cost estimation, risk analysis, and requirements negotiation.
