Job Description

As a Product System Development Engineer - Hardware at MAHLE, you will be responsible for leading the development of product systems, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. You will coordinate with various engineering domains, including requirements management, hardware, software, mechanics, functional safety, validation, and industrialization, to accomplish project milestones and deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing hardware to meet customer requirements, considering precision, reliability, and thermal considerations
  • Coordinating development tasks with other technical domains, including system requirements engineering, HW, SW, mechanics, quality, functional safety, validation, and industrialization
  • Managing technical resources at the project level and serving as the main technical interface with the project customer and production plant
  • Analyzing and negotiating customer requirements with the system requirements engineer
  • Responsible for design to cost, design for manufacturing, and design for quality
  • Planning and monitoring development cycles, tracking prototypes maturity levels, and approving eBOMs
  • Organizing technical reviews, defining critical or safety characteristics, and managing problem resolution

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics, or similar
  • English (C1), Spanish (C1), German, French
  • Technical background in electronics development, with emphasis on automotive electronics desirable
  • Microsoft Office Package, including MS Planning, Gantt, or similar
  • Altium Designer, MahCad, or similar
