We are expanding our teams in the Space sector at GMV Spain to work on Satellite Navigation Systems projects.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Galileo Navigation Systems Engineer, you will be part of the OSPF project, which is the central element of the Galileo mission chain (first generation). Your primary objectives will include calculating the navigation for the Galileo positioning service and managing process synchronization, ensuring real-time processing. You will also manage input and output data, including format transformation and encoding, define and maintain the system scheduler, operate and configure the system, and manage the hardware and operating system.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have solid knowledge of IT and/or telecommunications, with experience and/or knowledge of C programming (preferably at low level). Good teamwork skills, good communication skills, initiative, autonomy, careful and efficient work, ability to adapt to different development environments and different work methodologies, and a desire to carry out a complex project are required. Specific training on the OSPF system (and Galileo) is offered.
Candidate's Duties:
- Manage process synchronization (threads, signals, semaphores, shared memory) and ensure real-time processing.
- Manage input and output data, including format transformation and encoding.
- Define and maintain the system scheduler.
- Operate and configure the system (SNMP, FTP, commanding, etc.).
- Manage the hardware and operating system (both ad-hoc real-time).
- Verify and validate the OSPF version deployed, performing unit, integrated, and system tests, as well as documenting the results.
- Optimize and adjust the system resources (CPU, RAM), monitoring usage and applying appropriate measures.
What We Need In Our Team:
We are looking for engineers with experience and interest in software development, the space sector, and satellite navigation systems. The estimated annual salary for this position is €60000-€80000.
