Job Title: Language Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Language Coordinator to join our team at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc. As a Language Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the localization process of English videos into Euskara/Basque.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and editing subtitles in Euskara/Basque, ensuring cultural accuracy and linguistic appropriateness. You will also sync subtitles with audio and visuals, maintaining correct timing and flow.

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit subtitles in Euskara/Basque, ensuring cultural accuracy and linguistic appropriateness.
  • Sync subtitles with audio and visuals, maintaining correct timing and flow.
  • Proofread and sync subtitles for grammatical errors, consistency, and readability.
  • Adapt content for your region, considering language nuances and legal restrictions.
  • Localize content metadata for regional audiences.
  • Meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Communicate directly with our Studios regarding any directions from Core Management and any recommendations on revisions needed.
  • Document all processes and maintain all localization-related documentation and tools, including internal databases and our team base.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of translation and/or adaptation for dubbing
  • A scrappy self-starter with an owner mindset
  • Organized and structured, but able to quickly adapt to changes in plans and priorities
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An empathetic and proactive team leader
