Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The Tech Business Analyst will serve as a bridge between the business and IAG Tech, understanding and capturing business needs to enable IT to develop, test, and deploy solutions that deliver target business benefits.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work in partnership with IAG Tech, third-party suppliers, and the business to use structured methodologies to understand business needs, target benefits, and priorities.
  • Create and manage requirements workshop plans and lead workshops to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Capture and document business requirements in a structured format to enable IAG Tech to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support IAG Tech in designing solutions and creating test cases.
  • Consider business needs and IAG Tech Enterprise Architecture Strategy when supporting solution design.
  • Manage the review and sign-off of documented requirements, covering business/customer, quality, and IAG Tech/solution provider inputs.
  • Deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, with varying breadth and complexity.

Key Stakeholders

  • External: Strategic partners and solution providers.
  • Internal: Business stakeholders, Delivery Leaders, IAG Tech Architecture, IAG Tech Software Engineering, and Cyber Security.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Recognised Business Analysis qualifications (e.g., BCS Certification in Business Analysis).
  • Recognised Agile and Waterfall qualifications.
  • Recognised process engineering qualifications.

Desirable Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in Business Analysis roles in Agile and Waterfall delivery settings.
  • Demonstrable experience in process engineering and requirement documentation.
  • Experience working in business and technology delivery environments.
  • Experience working with Architecture frameworks, process mapping tools, Agile and Waterfall management tools, and operating across multiple countries and cultures.

Relevant Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of People Administration processes and tools, with experience working with Success Factors and/or Peoplesoft.
  • Proven knowledge of Spanish labour regulation, including Social Security and Taxes processes.
  • Strong workshop leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Forming strong stakeholder relationships, with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade internally and externally.
  • Effective senior stakeholder management, balancing and finding compromises between opposing views and opinions.
  • Business partnering, working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders across a diverse operation, delivering a value-added service to business customers.
  • Strong analytical approach to capturing business requirements, documenting them in a succinct manner.
  • Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Embracing and managing both business and IT change as necessary to help shape future direction.
  • Identifies and contributes to the continual improvement of analysis capability across the organisation.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
