We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at Planet Innovation, a leading healthtech contract design and manufacturing company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in ensuring that business financial activity is recorded accurately, on time, and complies with company policies and accounting standards.

The role involves providing support through the provision of analysis on financial results and accounting issues to the Finance Manager and business unit staff.

The key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst include:

  • Performing reconciliations of general ledger and other sub-ledger accounts
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and wider Finance Team
  • Managing the Australian Accounts Payable function with three direct reports
  • Maintaining financial data integrity and alignment to internal accounting and control systems
  • Leading and initiating process improvements within the finance department
  • Supporting the external audit process
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate billing to customers
  • Participating in the development of budgets and forecasts where required
  • Generating invoices to customers
  • Analysing revenue, cost of sales, and assisting in resolving any anomalies

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience as an accountant in a commercial environment, with experience in the use of ERP accounting systems (D365 highly desirable).

The successful candidate will be a tertiary qualification in a finance/commerce-based discipline and CA/CPA qualified.
