We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Labor Market. The successful candidate will be part of our Computational Social Sciences Program, focusing on the labor market and related areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in the field of labor market and related areas, utilizing causal inference using observational data and computational methods.
- Contribute to writing and submitting project proposals of high scientific quality to secure competitive financial support.
- Collaborate with internal and external research groups to advance in the field and translate research findings to public policy.
- Education: PhD in Political Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
- Experience cleaning and crossing complex data sets.
- Experience as a researcher in labor market.
- Proven capacity to carry out research independently.
- Experience in causal inference of public policies using observational data.
- Good programming skills for statistical analysis (R, Python).
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:
- Familiarity with the Spanish and Catalan Labor Market and related public policies.
- Proven track of publications in Labor Market.
- Competences:
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with other researchers and research engineers.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computational Social Sciences Program.
- We offer a full-time contract, a good working environment, and a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
- Duration: 4 years.
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December.
- Salary: 45,000.00 €.
