Job Summary

As a Product System Development Engineer at MAHLE, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and technical excellence in our product development process. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Product System Development Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical coordination with the Product System Development Team Leader to ensure project deliverables meet technical requirements.
  • Complete technical management of new product development, including lessons learned application from previous projects.
  • Management of technical resources at project level, including coordination with other technical domains.
  • Main technical interface with project customers and production plants.
  • Customer requirements analysis and negotiation with the System Requirements Engineer.
  • Coordination of development tasks with other technical domains, including System Requirements Engineering, HW, SW, Mechanics, Quality, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization.
  • Technical development of the project according to budget and planning, including risk and cost analysis with the Project Manager and Product Manager.
  • Responsible for Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality.
  • Responsible to plan and monitor the different development cycles of the project following MAHLE's Product Development Process (PDP).
  • Responsible to plan and align the prototypes maturity level following project milestones and MAHLE's PDP.
  • Responsible to approve the eBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) for each development cycle.
  • Release Notes owner.
  • Organization of technical reviews of the project involving other domains and especially the quality department.
  • Design FMEA reviewer together with the quality department.
  • Definition of critical or safety characteristics of the product.
  • Management and resolution of problems at a technical level.
  • Willingness to travel and provide technical support on-site.
  • Keeping the Project Manager and Product System Development Team Leader informed about the project's progress.

Requirements

  • Critical) Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
