Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visually inspecting tools and machinery.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for buildings, and maintain accurate records.
  • Requisition parts and supplies as needed, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication programs.
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, and external sprinkler systems.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and move up and down stairs and service ramps.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
