Financial Crime and Customer Operations Specialist

Ebury is a leading FinTech firm, renowned for its innovative solutions in FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments, and API integration.
The Financial Crime and Customer Operations Department is seeking a skilled Client Servicing Graduate to join their team in either the Central Malaga or Leon Office. This role will report directly to the Client Servicing Manager.
We are looking for an individual who can ideally speak Spanish and English, although any other European language is considered a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding Ebury and our existing clients from financial crime risk, including money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, fraud, sanctions risk, tax evasion, and reputational risk.
- Resolution of customer-related issues via email and chat.
- Liaising with various stakeholders involved in the team's workflow.
- Managing requests for information related to client accounts or activities with Ebury.
- Efficiently managing a personal portfolio of cases and tasks.
- Proactive follow-up with clients and sales representatives to ensure timely completion of cases and tasks.
- Completing allocated tasks with focus and in a timely manner.
- Communicating task status to colleagues and supervisors, escalating problems swiftly as needed.
- Upholding and reinforcing company and departmental values.
- Adhering to all internal policies, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
- University degree.
- Diligent, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, with the ability to work within strict time-frames and under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly empathetic, with strong active listening skills.
- Co-operative, comfortable working in a team environment.
- Curious and eager to learn, actively asking questions to confirm understanding of processes and procedures.
- Adaptable, able to cope with changing products, processes, and procedures.
- Aligned with Ebury values.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with any other European language being a real benefit (Dutch, Italian, German, Czech, French).
This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary of approximately €25,000 - €30,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. With a 4-day office schedule and 1 day of home office per week, this role offers a great balance between work and personal life.
