We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Lab126. As a key member of our Device OS team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and contributing to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation, and support of platform software.
Key Responsibilities- Own the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery, and support of Device OS security and privacy.
- Be responsible for the architecture and design of software solutions, especially in the area of device security & privacy, determining current limitations and compatibilities between subsystems, selecting new concepts and methodologies, and developing key routines and utilities.
- Dive deep into a difficult problem, identify the root cause, and provide an appropriate solution.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++.
- Knowledge of ARM CPUs.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience writing low-level drivers.
