About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team at American International Group (AIG). As a key member of our Underwriting Division, you will play a crucial role in developing insurance solutions that address the exposures of companies and individuals.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in underwriting assigned risks
  • Developing relationships with brokers
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities with different lines of business
  • Driving sales process on new products
  • Assisting the Front Desk Unit/Customer Service Group
  • Maintaining a list of targets and generating submissions to meet new business targets

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in insurance, particularly in Property/Energy/Construction business
  • An engineering degree (preferred), Law, Business Administration, or Economics university degree
  • Fluent English skills (written & spoken)
  • An outgoing and entrepreneurial personality
  • Result-driven approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiating, communications, and presentations skills
  • Strong analysis and organizational skills
  • Confident knowledge of systems and PC applications, especially utilizing spreadsheets
