Job Summary
The Technical Pre-Sales Manager for Wind Turbine Design Software will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of client discussions, focusing on DNV's Bladed software. This role will work closely with the commercial sales team throughout the sales cycle, supporting an established regionally based sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed within the sales team, working closely with Regional Sales Managers, to lead technical client discussions with a focus on Bladed product.
- Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues in the Support Team, Product Line, and Product Centre as necessary.
- Lead product presentations, software demonstrations, and workshops with clients.
- Lead client discussions to define the scope of products to be offered, contribute to the development of proposal documents, and coordinate responses to client technical queries.
- Contribute to the development of technical aspects of sales strategies.
- Work towards joint KPIs held with associated Regional Sales Manager.
- Provide technical voice of the customer feedback and insights to Product Managers and Product Marketing teams.
- Support customers in successful product implementation and value creation by ensuring optimal utilization of software capabilities.
- Hold scheduled technical check-ins with clients to ensure customer value and identify potential upsell opportunities.
- Create and present product papers and participate on technical panels at conferences.
- Increase exposure and market knowledge of DNV Digital Solutions products.
- Develop long-standing, resilient client relationships.
- Be the go-to person for Regional Sales Managers for technical questions.
Requirements
- Background in Wind Turbine design or simulation.
- Appreciation of commercial aspects of sales process.
- Able to present product value from technical standpoint to client's engineering team.
