Accounting Manager

Marriott International, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to support the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes. The successful candidate will provide accounting functions, including account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and implement accounting work and projects as assigned.
- Coordinate, implement, and follow up on Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property.
- Comply with Federal and State laws applying to fraud and collection procedures.
- Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data.
- Balance credit card ledgers.
- Verify contracts for groups and perform credit reference checks for direct billed groups if necessary.
- A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major; no work experience required.
- Or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Finance and Accounting or related major; 2 years experience in finance and accounting or related professional area.
- Demonstrated knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of return check procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Gross Revenue Report.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with write off procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with consolidated deposit procedures.
