We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Supervisor to join our team at John Wood Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, security, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health, safety, security, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement safe work practices, procedures, and protocols.
- Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive health, safety, security, and environmental records, reports, and documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health, safety, security, and environmental procedures and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure a safe and effective response to emergencies.
- Recognized health, safety, security, and environmental certification (e.g. Tecnico de Prevencion de Riesgos Laborales Intermedio o superior).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, security, and environmental roles (supervisor and above) with exposure to engineering and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, security, and environmental regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
