Job Summary
The Nurse Manager, Ambulatory Operations, is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the daily clinical operations of the outpatient specialty clinics at Enloe Rehabilitation Ctr. This role involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating department programs and services to ensure successful financial management, human resources management, leadership, quality, and operational management objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in the development and management of specialty clinic budgets and productivity targets.
• Manage human resources utilization, promote employee satisfaction, support staff development, and utilize the progressive discipline process when appropriate.
• Lead employees and clinic leaders, support organizational goals and decisions, implement necessary changes, and participate in strategic planning for service needs and resource utilization.
• Maintain and promote quality service and best practice.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and assure implementation of regulatory standards.
• Ensure service is provided considering the age-specific physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs of the patients served.
• Continually evaluate departmental function and the delivery of patient service.
• Keep administration informed regarding level of care/service being provided and level of patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
• Act as a liaison between the patient/family, physician, and patient care team as necessary to problem solve amongst our specialty clinics.
Requirements
• Five years nursing experience.
• One year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
