The Opportunity

As a key member of our team at Agoda, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through data-driven decisions. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst Lead to lead the analysis and data visibility required to identify opportunities for Agoda's growth in the region. Your role will involve using data to provide transparency and efficiency to the Business Development teams on the ground, guiding them in growing the business, and ensuring consistency in data being used for reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and develop reports and models to track performance and optimize business processes, providing actionable recommendations.
  2. Build, enhance, and streamline reports and dashboards to facilitate team members' understanding of business performance and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Perform independent ad-hoc analysis on business trends and results, translating and communicating findings to leadership and key stakeholders.
  4. Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives to reach business targets, collaborating with relevant teams to assess proposed actions.
  5. Recommend new metrics, techniques, and strategies to enhance team performance and measurement in the future.
  6. Analyze the impact of business initiatives, using data to make recommendations and propose changes.
  7. Hone analytical skills to better understand business and conversion drivers, optimizing them for improved performance.
  8. Prepare and present high-quality weekly reports and business insights to leadership.
  9. Work in a data-driven environment, utilizing out-of-the-box thinking to develop and implement solutions to unique challenges.
  10. Collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging environment.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline.
  2. Strong data skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools.
  3. Analytical mindset, with a proven track record of using data to measure performance and inform decisions.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems using data.
  5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  6. Strong skills in presenting and analyzing data, creating actionable reports, and communicating complex messages clearly and convincingly to diverse stakeholders.
  7. Entrepreneurial thinking, with experience implementing innovative ideas or products in complex organizations.
  8. Strategic thinking and planning, effective at breaking down complex problems and driving and managing change.
  9. Experience in data analytics, strategy, and business insights for a fast-growing globally operating tech company is preferred.
