We are seeking a seasoned International Business Development Director to collaborate with defense professionals in adopting wireless technologies for their operations. This global role requires a diverse and distributed team, and we are looking for a candidate who can influence the future.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the MCN global head of sales for Defense and teams within Market Areas (MA) to drive proactive engagement with Customers and Partners.

• Ensure cross-company collaboration, involving required functions and roles in both MA and business areas (BA) organizations in due time and according to the defined strategy.

• Lead opportunity qualification in coordination with teams in MA and BA areas.

• Develop sales strategies for qualified opportunities, including a "win-plan" covering key areas required to develop the business.

• Guide the creation of a specific opportunity engagement plan, defining stages and targets with associated timelines and resources required.

• Drive problem-solving to qualify and quantify the value of Ericsson's proposition to defense customers.

• Map customer operational requirements into recommendations and solutions.

• Develop content and supporting materials for workshops and customer sessions, including strategic views, global market trends, recommended solutions, deployment, and operational models.

• Contribute to defining industrial setups, including Go-To-Market options, as well as risk analysis, commercial, contractual, and negotiation strategies based on long-term sales cycles and public procurement routines.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of the critical communications market, including familiarity with the industry, economics, dynamics, regulations, and ecosystem.

• Experience in Defense market: at least 10 years working in related positions and well-accepted in the market.

• Entrepreneurship: capability to plan, anticipate, and adapt to changes, guiding an effective response.

• Drive while keeping both learning and challenger spirit.

• Perseverance: navigating long-sales cycles with resiliency and self-confidence, while continuing to push and avoid frustration.

• Customer-oriented: understanding end-user environments (operational structures, processes, requirements) and adding new value for customers and for the company, with flexibility to adapt conversations to the receiver.

• Strong analytical skills: performing regular market analysis, defining, and keeping updated business strategies accordingly with clear targets, guidelines, and priorities.

• Teammate, collaborative, and integrity: used to working in multinational and diverse environments, facilitating everyone to perform at their best.

• Own the change by aligning all Ericsson arrows as well as customer views.
