Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Orca is seeking an experienced and versatile Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of financial strategies that align with company growth objectives.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and financial risk management.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives and investor relations, providing financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop financial KPIs and performance metrics, providing executive-level reporting.
Operational Leadership:
  • Lead supplier contracts and negotiations, ensuring cost-effective and reliable sourcing.
  • Drive strategic decisions regarding product pricing, capital investment, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee logistics and supply chain management for both hardware and software development.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and key service providers.
  • Drive operational efficiencies, optimizing processes across finance, procurement, and logistics.
Corporate Governance:
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on company strategy, providing financial and operational insights.
  • Ensure that the company adheres to sound corporate governance practices, including risk management, compliance, and reporting.
  • Build and lead the finance team as the company grows.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment across departments.
  • Mentor and develop team members, contributing to their professional growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within a startup or high-growth company.
  • Proven experience managing operational functions, including contracts, logistics, and supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software business models is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, IPOs, investor relations, and capital management.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
