Senior Risk and Compliance Manager for Politically Exposed Individuals

About the Role
\Dow Jones is a leading provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. As a Senior Risk and Compliance Manager for Politically Exposed Individuals, you will lead a team of experts who research and update details on senior political figures from specific countries. You will report to the Director, Politically Exposed Persons, and be based in Barcelona.
\Your Responsibilities

- Train, support, and develop your team to maximize their potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation.\
- Organize and assign tasks to your team, allocating resources appropriately.\
- Monitor and evaluate your team's performance.\
- Respond to clients' questions about Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) content.\
- Monitor and analyze changes in anti-money laundering regulations.\
- Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects.\
- Collaborate and engage with other departments and support the Director to drive key business initiatives and decisions.\
- Contribute to data and workflow improvements, and tool efficiencies including aiding in the adoption of new tools and processes.\
- Ensure compliance with PEP regulations and company policies.\
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency.\
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of team performance and progress.\
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless collaboration and project delivery.\
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional development within the team.
About You
\We are looking for an experienced and skilled professional who can demonstrate:

- Fluency in English.\
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills.\
- Understanding of PEP regulations and anti-money laundering laws.\
- At least one year's experience as a professional researcher or analyst.\
- Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information.\
- Experience managing a team or leading a project.\
- Ability to explain complex data or processes and handle client queries.\
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.\
- Openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity.\
- Preferred: Fluency in additional languages.\
- Knowledge of and interest in politics and anti-money laundering regulations.\
- Automation skills, such as advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML, and/or SQL.\
- Education to a degree level or relevant experience.
