Technical Product Owner

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner to join our Machine Learning Engineering team at Empresa reconocida. As a Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for owning the product delivery of our machine learning-based solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive technical backlog and data governance practices.
Key Responsibilities- Product Delivery: Own the product delivery of our machine learning-based solutions, ensuring that they meet and exceed operational KPI targets.
- Technical Backlog: Drive the technical backlog of our automated ML-based shipper-to-carrier assignment experience and its underlying technology.
- Data Governance: Champion data governance practices across the organization, contributing to pushing data quality to the next level.
- Teamwork and Agility: Promote teamwork and agility as the easiest path for team success.
- External Data Providers: Manage external data providers and define a roadmap for their testing, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Customer-Centricity: Drive product discovery on the ML system design space to build the right stuff.
- Success Criteria: Define success criteria, goals, and metrics for initiatives together with technical and operations teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Set up the right bridges and ways of working towards working truly cross-functionally with operations teams on designing ML products.
- Technical Product Experience: 2+ years of experience leading highly technical product development (machine learning, computer vision, or NLP).
- Machine Learning Product Delivery: Experience working with end-to-end machine learning product delivery, lifecycle management, and related product tradeoffs.
- Agile Processes: Strong background on leading problem-solving on cross-functional teams using Agile processes (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, XP).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence team members with the vision.
- Empathy and Bridge-Building: An empathetic person with a bridge-building mindset.
- Decision-Making: Able to make informed decisions based on qualitative user insights and quantitative user data by conducting research, A/B tests, and analyzing operations data.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English.
- Data Science and Machine Learning: Background as an individual contributor on data science and machine learning space.
- Results-Driven: Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic, tech-first environment and driving innovation on behalf of internal/external stakeholders.
- AWS Cloud Platform: Experience driving data products within the AWS cloud platform.
- Software Development and Machine Learning Engineering: In-depth knowledge of modern software development and machine learning engineering practices.
- OKR-Based Strategy Canvas: Exposure to OKR-based strategy canvas.
- Higher Education: M.S. (or higher degree) in Computer Science.
