Job Title: AP Accountant

We are seeking an experienced AP Accountant to join our team in Madrid. As an AP Accountant, you will be responsible for the daily management of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the suppliers' database and bank details in our ERP system
  • Capture and process suppliers' invoices, following corporate payment terms
  • Ensure finance internal controls are performed for suppliers' invoices
  • Match invoices with POs in the ERP system
  • Manage, process, and reconcile travel expenses
  • Reconcile accounts payable and General Ledger (GL) accounts/modules
  • Monitor and reconcile transitory accounts for suppliers or personnel
  • Record all accounting transactions in relation to international VAT
  • Check and validate all expense reports in compliance with internal policies
  • Book all accounting entries related to expense reports and travel agency invoices
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of broad-based financial experience
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with ease, confidence, and credibility at all levels within and outside the company
  • Proactive approach and ability to build consensus
  • Strong business acumen, including negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt to and drive changing demands and conditions
  • Experience in managing a small team
  • Flexible can-do attitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Fluency in English
