We're looking for a Sr Quality Analyst/Software Development Engineer in Test to join our amazing Barcelona team. Responsibilities include:
  • Working with QA Leads and project stakeholders to build in quality.
  • Supporting both automation and manual testing activities.
  • Contributing to the overall CI/CD strategy for our products and for the company.
  • Contributing to the estimation & planning of team's tasks for each release, including identifying quality risks and constraints.
  • Reviewing your team's test case suites, test execution progress and quality deliverables.
  • Monitoring and compiling automation test results and communicating these to the project team, driving toward continuous testing.
  • Taking part in root cause analysis of quality issues.
  • Evaluating new QA tools & processes and introducing tangible improvements to quality.
  • Contributing towards the automation testing framework.
  • Supporting automation for microservices architectures.

Work with a variety of tools - Jira, Work Collaboration Tools (Confluence), Jira Test Case Management system, CI/CD pipelines, etc.

Peer review automation code for other SDETs and Developers. Escalate issues appropriately to project stakeholders. Collaborate with other teams for dependencies.

We're looking for someone with 4+ years as a Test Automation Engineer with web services, backend systems or microservices. Experience in API, DB, Functional & Non-Functional testing. Proficiency in an OO Programming language (Java or similar). Advanced experience with API testing including creation of automated tests (Karate, Rest Assured or similar tools). Experience with Cucumber or other automated testing frameworks. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. Knowledge of Continuous Integration platforms such as Jenkins/GitHub Actions or similar. Strong analytical skills, logical and structured approach to test planning, execution and analysis.
