The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced Asset Management Leader to join our team in a leading European Infra Fund. As an Asset Management Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and technical performance of renewable energy assets in Iberia and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
The Role:- Asset Performance Monitoring: Monitor the daily performance of assets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize asset performance to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Site Visits and Compliance: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that assets meet quality and technical specifications and comply with applicable legislation and regulations.
- Maintenance and Contract Management: Review maintenance plans, ensure compliance, and implement improvements. Manage contracts with operational managers (OMs) and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors.
- Insurance and Claims: Support insurance claims, including sourcing information and documents from operational compliance and data teams.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage operational management (OM) contracts, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and contracts with distribution network operators (DNOs), public entities, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Commercial Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including EPC contractors, OM contractors, owner's engineers, debt providers, PPA off-takers, health and safety advisors, external legal counsel, and grid operators.
- Financial Management: Work with the finance team to manage processes around bonds, cash retentions, profit and loss (PL), cash flow, operating expenses (OPEX), and monthly reporting to lenders on revenues, costs, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
- Annual Budgeting: Prepare annual budgets for assets, assess energy price forecasts, and contingency expenditures based on previous years' costs.
- Education: Degree in Engineering or relevant or transferable degree.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in an asset management role, with commercial management skills in solar and/or wind projects of different sizes and stages of operational life.
- Language Skills: Clear communication (written and verbal) in Spanish and English.
