About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead R&D Project Manager to join our team at Almirall. As a key member of our R&D Project, Portfolio, Partnership Excellence Department, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and programs from candidate to phase II stage, collaborating with Corporate Alliance managers from phase III onwards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple targets, phase II and phase III projects with annual budgets over 10M Eur, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project goals.
  • Collaborate with Project Leaders to define strategic plans and scenarios, providing inputs to strategic discussions within the team.
  • Act as backup for Project Leaders when needed, monitoring critical path, timelines, budget expenses, and actions to meet project objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, driving novel solutions and empowering entrepreneurial mindsets across the organization.
  • Develop and manage project communication, setting agendas, facilitating meetings, and ensuring distribution of project information.
  • Facilitate team dynamics, coordinate with Project Leaders (System Coaches), and mentor Project Managers and Associates.
  • Ensure proper Alliance management, from candidate to phase II stage, and collaborate with Corporate Alliance managers from phase III onwards.
  • Pursue public funding opportunities for projects, coordinate due diligence with partners, and oversee Business Development and Licensing (BD&L) development plans.
  • Participate in R&D Portfolio Review exercises and maintain R&D productivity benchmarking data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Ph.D. degree in biomedicinal or scientific careers.
  • Certification in Project Management (achieved or working towards it).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
