The Role

As a Product Visionary (Design Lead), you will lead multiple product teams in collaboration with a Product Director and an Engineering Director. Your primary responsibility will be to build and develop a high-performing team of Product Designers, guiding them in defining and implementing Factorial's product vision.

You will work closely with existing customers and other teams within Factorial, such as Sales and Customer Experience, to identify areas for improvement, set business goals, and shape our product strategy. Throughout this process, you will work with your team to navigate various stages of product development.

You will also collaborate with other Product Leaders to align Factorial's vision and business objectives.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in building digital products, with at least 2 years of experience leading Product Designers.
  • In-depth knowledge of working as a Product Designer across different design phases, including user research, ideation, interface design, prototyping, implementation, and validation.
  • Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data to derive insights, identify opportunities and risks, and articulate decisions from a business perspective.
  • A passion for creating innovative, user-centered products that tackle complex problems without restrictive solutions.
  • Ability to align multiple teams by defining common business goals, establishing effective processes, and structuring teams for success.
  • Experience in building a talented team through inbound and outbound recruitment strategies, as well as fostering lasting relationships.
  • Expertise in developing a skilled team, setting clear expectations, providing continuous feedback, defining action plans, planning training programs, and making critical decisions when necessary.
  • Ability to define long-term product visions, think holistically, and effectively communicate these visions to teams to build scalable systems.
  • Experience in crafting consistent experiences by aligning multiple teams and stakeholders toward common documentation, design systems, branding, and best design practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Customer Experience) to ensure developed solutions are feasible and aligned with business objectives.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and the responsibilities associated with this role.
