We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee the development and operation of the tools and processes needed to deploy, manage, and monitor our applications in both on-premise and cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of Platform engineers, ensuring they meet and exceed company expectations.
- Plan and organize team work, making sure deadlines agreed with different teams are met.
- Define and implement DevOps best practices and strategies.
- Represent the team when required, providing advice and knowledge for planning critical changes.
- Support engineering teams helping them to become high-performing, autonomous teams.
- Experience within the Platform engineering/DevOps sector leading teams of Platform staff or having worked in a similar management-related role.
- Demonstrated experience on DevOps culture and methodologies.
- Understanding how systems work at a whole-picture level, being able to explain and support technical decisions.
- Experience working with Kubernetes on high-load systems.
- Knowledge in Public and Private clouds: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMWare.
