We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Capital Project Delivery team in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing environmental critical aspects and ensuring compliance with all applicable Spanish regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering or sciences, with experience in project management and environmental impact assessment. You will be responsible for developing prefeasibility and environmental & social impact assessment studies, permitting studies, and EDD (mainly focused on the Italian market).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable Spanish regulations;
  • Developing prefeasibility and environmental & social impact assessment studies, permitting studies, and EDD (mainly focused on the Italian market);
  • Supporting in managing or coordinating small size projects or whole elements of larger multidisciplinary or global projects;
  • Delivering multiple project tasks or components, including the development of proposals;
  • Supervising project team(s) and mentoring junior personnel;
  • Establishing strong working relationships with clients through project delivery;
  • Supporting with commercial activities: Business Development, proposals writing and pitching;

We are looking for a candidate with a master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or other relevant disciplines. Ideally, you will have 4-6 years of experience in relevant fields such as consulting or environmental services, with specific focus on environmental permitting, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and/or Environmental Social Due Diligence, in Spain.

The successful candidate will have proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken, and familiarity with International Standards (IFC, EBRD, etc.). Experience with emerging energy systems (hydrogen, offshore wind, battery storage, floating solar) will be considered a plus.
