Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership for one of our platform engineering teams, ensuring the high availability and reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead a team of SREs and collaborate with other teams to ensure the high availability and reliability of our systems.
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Define and implement best practices for monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting of infrastructure and applications.
- Automation and Efficiency: Design and implement automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to ensure that their applications are designed for scalability and reliability.
- System Design and Implementation: Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and services to ensure they meet our reliability and scalability requirements.
- Team Performance Management: Manage the team's performance, develop career paths, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and practices related to SRE and infrastructure.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in SRE or related fields, 2+ years of experience in managing teams.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases. Proven experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable applications. Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA) is a plus.
