Job Title: Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our Solar team at Semrush. As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing tools for Social Media Marketers, covering their needs from publishing content to performing competitive analysis.

About the Role

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping the team transfer legacy backend services to microservice architecture and k8s
  • Identifying and mitigating new risks in the technical base to evolve the product and make new users happy
  • Developing and growing core functionality of the product, implementing new features to make the product perform in new niches for new users
  • Contributing to team technical strategy with your knowledge and experience to reach new goals
  • Participating in the planning of architecture and quality aspects of new features
  • Creating server-side code with Kotlin/Java
  • Creating autotests
  • Contributing to product observability and monitorability
  • Participating in improving, supporting, and analyzing application metrics and alerts
  • Troubleshooting and fixing issues
  • Performing refactoring/improvements of legacy functionality
  • Performing code review sessions
  • Working with issues from support specialists (on duty)
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong expertise in Java
  • Strong expertise in Spring and Spring Boot
  • Knowledge of architectural design patterns and principles
  • Expertise in creating and optimizing SQL queries
  • Experience with queue brokers (RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with Docker and k8s
  • Experience with any observability stack (logging-tracing-metrics)
