About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Atmospheric Modeling Research Specialist to join our Earth Sciences Department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to atmospheric composition, dust modeling, and climate variability.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, execute, and monitor model simulations under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Develop scripts for analyzing results, including data formatting, plotting, and statistical analysis.
- Contribute to written reports and supporting materials for research projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with environmental, atmospheric sciences, and/or climate sciences.
- Ability to work in a professional environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Skills in working in a Linux environment, including shell programming.
- Knowledge of programming languages for data analysis and post-processing (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, NCO, CDO).
