About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Accountant for our Finance Service Center in Asturias, Spain. As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for countries within scope. You will work closely with external auditors, tax experts, and other teams to deliver high-quality controllership activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of end-to-end processes from a US GAAP and Local GAAP (IFRS) perspective
  • Preparation of Local GAAP Financial Statements as applicable
  • Preparation and delivery of Statutory Books and Direct Tax reporting for entities under your responsibility
  • Execution and maintenance of effective Internal controls
  • Main contact for external audit, including SOX controls and analytical review
  • Providing accounting guidance and functional expertise to ensure quality and accuracy of all accounting and financial processes

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Solid accounting and financial reporting experience (5-7 years) with direct exposure to European GAAP
  • US GAAP and IFRS knowledge, as well as experience in Tax matters
  • Previous experience in audit or working for a Big 4 firm is a plus
  • Business proficiency in English is essential
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Good Excel skills required

Earnings Potential

The estimated salary range for this position is approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
