Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Microsoft Games. As a Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Replace faulty components with minimal customer and business disruption.
  • Perform post-execution quality checks to ensure proper setup and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
  • Communicate and report incidents to appropriate teams and escalate as necessary.
  • Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks.
  • Complete required training and observe more experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information and staying apprised of the status of others' work.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Proven experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Applicable certifications, such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
