Job Title: Field/Datacenter Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field/Datacenter Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless operation of data center services.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures and processes.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate interest and knowledge in the position and a willingness to learn on the job.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200-1000+ server systems).
  • Experience in data center M&E equipment.
  • Demonstrated examples of a drive to dig into the details of a system or process to solve customer problems.
  • Experience working in a mission-critical operations environment.
  • Ability to speak confidently and communicate clearly in a virtual environment.
  • Strong adherence to process and being a process champion.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff.
  • Experience providing client-facing, direct customer support and service.
  • Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams or resourcefully and independently as an individual.
  • Good English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data center design, including electrical and cooling plant and operation thereof.
  • Airflow management (hot aisle, cold aisle, containment).
  • Rack, and stack equipment including commissioning of new racks.
  • Strong structured cabling skills on fiber and copper (looming, term, and test).
