Paralegal Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Specialist to join our team at The San Mateo County Bar Association. The successful candidate will provide legal assistance to attorneys, act as a liaison with internal clients, outside counsel, and external organizations, and perform various administrative tasks.

• Provide legal support to attorneys, including research, document preparation, and filing.
• Act as a liaison with internal clients, outside counsel, and external organizations to facilitate communication and collaboration.
• Compile data from various sources, including legal digests and practice manuals.
• Assemble, proof, and edit drafts of documents, such as contracts, leases, licenses, and insurance policies.
• Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities, as required.
• Conduct research on projects as directed by attorneys.
• Assist in analyzing documents and providing counsel on the progress of cases.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a paralegal or administrative role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.

The Paralegal Specialist will work in a fast-paced office environment, interacting with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
