Research Associate

About the Role
ICIQ is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in Prof. Ruben Martín's research group. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the analytical equipment, ensuring safety and quality, and supporting a large research group in the field of chemistry.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and repair laboratory equipment, including HPLC, GC, Glovebox, and photoreactors.
• Support a large research group in the field of chemistry, including tasks such as negotiating costs with suppliers and clients.
• Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of the laboratory crew.

Requirements
• PhD in Chemistry.
• Proven expertise as a technician and laboratory maintenance specialist.
• Experience in repairing conventional laboratory equipment and providing support to a large research group in the field of chemistry.

What We Offer
• Remuneration according to individual's qualification and experience.
• Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.
• Structural position resulting from the ordinary reposition quota for 2024, following the principles of Open, Transparent, and Merit-based Recruitment (OTM-R).

Selection Process
The selection process will consist of pre-selection based on qualifications and expertise, followed by an interview and practical exercise. The successful candidate will be selected based on their qualifications, expertise, and fit with the research group.
