Job Description: Operations & Compliance Manager, Spain

H&Mv Engineering is a leading global provider of specialist design, engineering, and construction services across various sectors, including data centers, renewables, and transmission and distribution utilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Operations Management: Oversee daily operations in Spain, ensuring business activities align with the company's goals and market demands.
  • Regulatory Compliance and System Setup: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive compliance systems that align with Spain's regulatory requirements.
  • Local Liaison and Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, government agencies, and local authorities in Madrid and across Spain.
  • Operational Coordination and Compliance Systems: Develop and coordinate the implementation of compliance systems across all operational departments.
  • Permitting and Regulatory Approvals: Assist in obtaining all necessary permits for operations and construction, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management and Compliance Monitoring: Set up monitoring tools and risk management protocols to identify and mitigate compliance risks within the Spanish market.
  • Process Improvement and Compliance Innovation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes with a focus on compliance systems integration.
  • Reporting and Compliance Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the compliance systems, ensuring traceability and easy access for audits.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the Spanish team, ensuring they understand and adhere to local compliance and operational standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in operations management, compliance, or a similar role, preferably within the Spanish market.
  • Knowledge of Spanish Market: Strong familiarity with Spanish laws, regulations, and industry standards related to compliance and operations.
  • Project Management: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and teams efficiently.
  • Risk Management: Expertise in identifying, analysing, and mitigating operational and compliance risks.
  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a local liaison with regulatory bodies, external partners, and internal teams.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management software, and compliance tools.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
