Payment Operations Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payment Operations Strategist to join our team at Ria. As a key member of our payments team, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts and managing relationships with payment processors, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline payment operations and eliminate inefficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering partners to identify optimization opportunities across the payments chain and develop new payment products
Source new payment vendors and explore new payment initiatives and expansion opportunities
Work with external partners to maintain relationships and drive dialogue/opportunities with major card and other payment networks
Create documentation and processes to ensure payment operations can scale to meet customers' needs
Provide subject matter expertise in payment rules and regulations, and partner with Legal to meet regulatory needs as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
5+ years of related experience in Payments, preferably with international and cross border experience
Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Excellent quantitative and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong financial modelling skills and solid e-commerce experience
Ability to multitask and take on a variety of different projects
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% - 40%
