Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our European Information Security Team. The successful candidate will support data privacy programs across our European markets, working closely with internal departments and global information security officers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support data privacy programs led by the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
  2. Act as the point of contact for business departments, support functions, and management on privacy matters.
  3. Educate and train employees on privacy compliance responsibilities and obligations.
  4. Identify, raise, and address risk areas of privacy in internal operations and projects.
  5. Manage privacy-related incidents.
  6. Assist Data Protection Coordinators in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) on new systems, applications, workflows, and third-party engagements.
  7. Review and follow up on recommended action plans.

Requirements:

  • More than 2 years of experience in compliance, data protection, privacy, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of data privacy laws and practices.
  • Ability to reflect legal requirements on activities/operational procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written Spanish and English is essential, Italian is desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion.
  • Strong capabilities on reporting activities.
  • Cyber security technical background.
  • Experience within the retail industry.
  • Understanding and ability of risk analysis for cyber threats.
  • Appropriate privacy and technical and/or security certifications preferred (e.g. CIPP/E, CISA, CISM, CISSP, SANS, GIAC, etc.).
