Airbus Defence and Space SAS is seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Innovation and Product Development Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, Spain.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with our Geospatial R&D team to develop new processing, analytics, and services for OneAtlas, our customer library. This will involve working with satellite images and 2D/3D mapping to create innovative solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new geospatial processing and analytics techniques using machine learning and deep learning technologies.
- Collaborate with the Geospatial R&D team to design and develop new products and services for OneAtlas.
- Work with the HAPS team to support the operations of the Earth Observation mission system and develop new applications for customers.
- Develop and maintain expertise in image processing, Earth Observation, and machine learning technologies.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs and provide innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in Electronics, Telecom, or Aerospace.
- At least 1 year of experience in systems engineering and/or geospatial fields.
- Proficiency in deep learning environments (Python, Jupyter, OpenCV, GitLab, Keras, PyTorch) and Google Cloud Platform (Compute, AppEngine, Docker, CloudML).
- Knowledge of image processing and Earth Observation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
