Product Owner Supply Chain and Network Optimization

BASF is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to join our Value Chain Optimization team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for steering team activities and developing supply chain and network optimization solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop mathematical models of BASF supply chains to enable scenario planning and analysis of material flows, costs, profits, and emissions.
  • Collaborate with operating divisions and central service units to facilitate network optimization user community.
  • Translate business requirements into supply chain and network optimization solutions.
  • Support internal business partners in estimating project efforts and providing user training on optimization solutions.
  • Contribute to technology evaluations and adjust solution architecture according to corporate platform decisions.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research, or related field with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good mathematical modeling skills and experience with operations research techniques.
  • Experience with Supply Chain Network Optimization Tools (e.g., AIMMS, SC Navigator, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, 4Flow).
  • Business consulting and technical consulting skills, with a good understanding of organizational awareness.
