Project Controls Specialist

Job Summary:

Hatch is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the physical, financial, and contractual aspects of construction projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Scope Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of project deliverables, execution timelines, pricing structures, and reporting formats.
  • Quantification and Costing: Conduct quantifications, cost estimations, and price analyses; measure and value work completed on-site.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Evaluate and measure KPIs to ensure project performance.
  • Project Management: Manage and report on ongoing works and significant quantity deviations for forecast issuance.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to clients; serve as a liaison with clients and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, and engineers.
  • Documentation and Validation: Perform Material Take-Off (MTO) from Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings for a Construction Work Package (CWP); create forms and report formats for materials; validate contractor progress estimates using Rules of Credit (ROC); testify and monitor installed quantities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: More than 10 years of experience in a measurement control function, preferably in medium to large multidisciplinary projects in an EPCM environment.
  • Tech Skills: Solid skills in MS Office and experience with estimation tools and systems; knowledge of P6 would be an advantage.
  • Field Experience: Field experience would be an advantage.
