As a Production Planner, you play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal utilization of production resources and meeting customer demands. The job entails planning the production of various animal food products across one or more production lines to achieve timely delivery.
The scope of this position ranges from single-line production planning to coordinating multiple production lines and external logistics. Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying order accuracy and inventory levels for finished products.
- Establishing an optimal balance between customer orders and stock levels.
- Arranging production orders, considering specified delivery times, machine capacity, changeover requirements, and efficient run sizes.
- CALCULATING REQUIRED RAW MATERIALS AND SEMI-FINISHED GOODS.
- Monitoring stock positions and identifying procurement shortfalls.
- Compiling and releasing daily production orders and material issue vouchers.
- Maintaining communication with production management regarding disruptions and potential corrective actions.
- Collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and product development teams on maintenance scheduling and trial productions.
- Adapting and implementing changes in planning procedures and discussing consequences with superiors and stakeholders.
